Northeast High Celebrated ESE Week
The Northeast High School staff and student clubs honored those who work with ESE students with a series of exciting events and honors.
In the Main Hallway, a bulletin board displayed ESE students’ work and ESE Department information. Every ESE teacher and paraprofessional received gift bags from
Ms. Hinkson, the ESE Specialist, to honor their work and dedication. At the end of the week, a breakfast sponsored by the Human Relations Council was provided for ESE teachers by the Best Buddies program. The culminating event was the luncheon sponsored by the SGA, hosted and served by the students in Ms. Smith's class. The students prepared the classroom as a restaurant, with hosts/ hostesses, servers, and bus staff. The luncheon was a tremendous success, as the customers' included school administrators, staff, area office visitors and the students.
Mr. Williams, Principal of Northeast High, had this to say:
"Ms. Hinkson and the entire ESE staff truly exemplify what it takes to reach every child, every chance, every day. That's what it's all about." Our hats off to Northeast High!
